My last post was in 2022 and so much has happened since then. I really want to get back to writing again but right now I am a busy mom of 2.
My daughter was born in April of 2021 and shortly thereafter I got extremely busy. She and I both were diagnosed with a rare syndrome. She needed lots of Early Intervention services. She has since aged out of that program at age 3. She will be 4 in April. I plan to home school. I will get into that more later. Also I got physical therapy for my syndrome related issues. It is so fascinating that we have the same syndrome but present so differently.
My son was born in August of 2023. Needless to say 2024 was the hardest year of our lives. He was born with 4 Defects and was in the NICU for nearly a month. Two major defects and three minor. He was also on a feeding tube for about 10 months. Now he is eating well Thank God. He has had two surgeries to repair defects. His third surgery is coming up soon. After that his belly defect, called an omphalocele, will be closed around age 3. For now we focus on healing and growing and eating.
Both kiddos keep me extremely busy.
In the last year I took up crochet. It makes me so happy. I can't explain it. I have created some really cute things. And it helps relax me too. I have quite the pattern collection.
Anyways I just figured I would update my readers as to why I have gone AWOL for a while.
